Question 1

How to use koala baby carrier?

Accepted Answer

This question refers to a “koala baby carrier,” which is a personal infant carrying device, not the Koala Kare KB300-01 baby changing station. Our product is a fixed, horizontal surface-mounted unit for commercial washrooms, designed for diaper changes in public spaces. For instructions on using a Koala baby carrier, you would need to consult the manufacturer's specific guide for that product.

Question 2

How to use koala babycare wrap?

Accepted Answer

The “koala babycare wrap” is a type of baby sling used for carrying infants close to the body. This product, the Koala Kare KB300-01, is a commercial baby changing station permanently installed in a restroom. It is not designed for baby wearing or any similar function. For guidance on using a babycare wrap, please refer to the specific product's instructions and safety guidelines.

Question 3

Where do gray koalas live?

Accepted Answer

“Gray koalas” refers to the marsupial native to Australia, not the Koala Kare brand of commercial baby changing stations. This product is manufactured for commercial facilities globally, including Canadian food service operations. The changing station itself does not have a “habitat” in the biological sense; it is an installed piece of equipment.

Question 4

Is koala gray a color?

Accepted Answer

While “koala gray” could be interpreted as a shade of gray inspired by the animal, the “Gray” in the Koala Kare KB300-01 product name specifically describes the colour of the changing station's durable plastic moulding. It's a functional descriptor for the unit's aesthetic. This particular changing station comes in a neutral gray finish, suitable for various commercial washroom designs.

Question 5

How to use koala baby wrap?

Accepted Answer

A “koala baby wrap” is an infant carrying accessory, entirely distinct from the Koala Kare KB300-01 baby changing station. This product is a fixed, wall-mounted unit for changing diapers in commercial settings. It is not an item that a parent would “wear” or “wrap” around themselves or a child. Please consult the instructions for any baby wrap product directly for proper usage.

Question 6

How to store Koala Kare Gray Horizontal Surface Mounted Baby for maximum shelf life?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is a durable piece of installed equipment, not a consumable item with a traditional “shelf life” in terms of freshness. Prior to installation, store the unit in its original packaging in a dry, temperate environment to protect its components and finish. Once installed, its “longevity” is determined by maintenance and commercial use cycles rather than storage.

Question 7

Is Koala Kare Gray Horizontal Surface Mounted Baby compatible with standard commercial machines?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is a self-contained baby changing station and does not integrate or “interface” with other commercial machines in the typical sense, such as dishwashers or ovens. Its compatibility focuses on installation methods, requiring a secure mounting surface like a reinforced wall. It functions independently within a commercial washroom environment.

Question 8

What materials is Koala Kare Gray Horizontal Surface Mounted Baby made of?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 Gray Horizontal Surface-Mounted Baby Changing Station is primarily constructed from a durable, high-density polyethylene plastic. This material is chosen for its strength, ease of cleaning, and resistance to impact in commercial settings. A key feature is the integration of a Microban antimicrobial surface, which helps inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

Question 9

What are the dimensions and weight specifications of the Koala Kare KB300-01?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is a horizontal surface-mounted unit. While exact installed dimensions are usually found in the technical spec sheet, it's designed to provide ample changing surface when open while maintaining a compact profile when closed. The unit itself is engineered to safely support a maximum recommended weight capacity of 50 lbs (22.7 kg), ensuring robust performance for commercial applications. This capacity complies with ASTM F2285 static load performance requirements, making it a reliable fixture in any professional washroom.

Question 10

How long does the Koala Kare KB300-01 last under typical commercial use?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is built for durability in high-traffic commercial environments. Its lifespan significantly depends on proper installation, consistent cleaning, and adherence to the 50 lb weight limit. With regular maintenance and by only using approved liners, operators can expect many years of reliable service. Koala Kare products are known in the Canadian market for their robust construction, designed to withstand frequent public use.

Question 11

What is the recommended cleaning and maintenance procedure for this changing station?

Accepted Answer

For optimal hygiene and longevity, clean the Koala Kare KB300-01 regularly with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads, as these can damage the Microban antimicrobial surface. Periodically check the safety strap for wear and ensure the hinge mechanism operates smoothly. Replenish the dual liner dispenser with standard Koala Kare changing station liners to ensure continuous operation and user convenience.

Question 12

Does the Koala Kare KB300-01 comply with Canadian accessibility standards?

Accepted Answer

While the Koala Kare KB300-01 meets ASTM F2285 static load performance, general accessibility (ADA/CSA B651) compliance often pertains to installation height and clear floor space rather than the unit itself. Operators need to ensure their installation adheres to specific provincial or federal accessibility regulations regarding mounting height for changing tables to ensure proper clearance and usability for all patrons. Consult local building codes and accessibility guidelines for precise requirements.

Question 13

What are the benefits of the Microban antimicrobial surface on this unit?

Accepted Answer

The Microban antimicrobial surface integrated into the Koala Kare KB300-01 actively inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mould, and mildew on the product's surface. This is a significant operational benefit for commercial restrooms, as it contributes to a fresher environment and reduces the constant effort required for deep sanitation. It works continuously, providing an added layer of hygiene protection between regular cleanings.

Question 14

Can I install the Koala Kare KB300-01 on any type of wall?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is designed for surface mounting and requires a structurally sound wall capable of supporting the unit and its maximum 50 lb load when in use. Ideal mounting surfaces include wood studs, concrete, or reinforced masonry. Installation on drywall alone is not recommended without proper backing or additional support. Always ensure professional installation to comply with safety standards and local building codes.

Question 15

What types of commercial facilities commonly use the Koala Kare KB300-01?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-01 is widely used in various commercial facilities across Canada that prioritize family-friendly amenities. This includes restaurants, shopping malls, airports, community centres, medical offices, and recreational venues. Its durable construction and hygienic features make it suitable for high-traffic public restrooms, ensuring a safe and clean environment for parents and caregivers.

Question 16

How does the dual liner dispenser improve operational efficiency?

Accepted Answer

The dual liner dispenser in the Koala Kare KB300-01 holds up to 50 liners (25 per dispenser), which significantly reduces the frequency of staff refilling the unit. This feature is particularly valuable in high-traffic commercial restrooms where demand for liners is constant. It ensures patrons always have access to a sanitary changing surface, improving customer satisfaction and streamlining maintenance routines for your staff.
