Question 1

How to wear koala baby carrier?

Accepted Answer

This question refers to a Koala baby carrier. The Koala Kare KB300-00 is a dedicated baby changing station, a fixed fixture designed for commercial washrooms, not a wearable infant carrier. It's meant to provide a stable and hygienic surface for diaper changes in public spaces. For instructions on how to properly wear a Koala baby carrier, you should refer to the user manual provided with that specific product.

Question 2

How to store Koala Kare Beige Horizontal Mounted Baby Changing for maximum shelf life?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 is a durable piece of facility equipment, not a consumable product with a traditional shelf life that expires. For maximum longevity prior to installation, it should be stored in its original packaging in a dry, temperature-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Once installed, its service life is determined by proper installation, routine maintenance, and typical wear in a commercial setting, often lasting many years.

Question 3

Is Koala Kare Beige Horizontal Mounted Baby Changing compatible with standard commercial machines?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 is a wall-mounted baby changing station and operates as a standalone fixture; it does not require compatibility with other commercial machines like kitchen equipment or beverage dispensers. Its 'compatibility' is primarily with your washroom's wall construction for secure surface mounting and the overall layout. It's designed to function independently in any public or commercial washroom that can accommodate a horizontal unit.

Question 4

What materials is Koala Kare Beige Horizontal Mounted Baby Changing made of?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 is constructed from a robust, engineered plastic material designed for high durability and resilience in commercial environments. A key feature is its integrated Microban antimicrobial surface, which is a treatment embedded into the material itself. This helps inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mould, and mildew, contributing to a more hygienic changing surface in public facilities.

Question 5

How to maintain Koala Kare Beige Horizontal Mounted Baby Changing for long-term use?

Accepted Answer

To ensure long-term use of the Koala Kare KB300-00, regular cleaning with a mild soap and water solution is essential, followed by wiping dry with a clean cloth. The Microban surface assists with hygiene, but routine physical cleaning remains crucial. Periodically inspect the child safety strap for any signs of wear or damage, and check all mounting hardware to ensure it remains securely fastened to the wall, maintaining the unit's 50 lb weight capacity and safety standards.

Question 6

What are the physical dimensions and installed weight of the Koala Kare KB300-00 baby changing station?

Accepted Answer

The product description specifies a maximum recommended weight capacity of 50 lbs, which refers to the load it can safely hold, not its own installed weight or exact dimensions. For precise installation planning, including structural requirements and accessibility compliance, facility managers should always consult the manufacturer's detailed specification sheet. This document, typically found with the product, provides the exact width, height, and depth, as well as the unit's actual static weight, crucial for proper mounting.

Question 7

What is the expected lifespan of the Koala Kare KB300-00 under typical commercial use?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 is engineered for significant longevity in high-traffic commercial environments. Its durable construction and compliance with ASTM F2285 static load performance requirements mean it is built to withstand the rigors of daily public use for many years. With proper installation, regular cleaning of its Microban surface, and periodic checks of the safety strap and mounting hardware, operators can expect a functional lifespan often exceeding a decade in most well-maintained facilities.

Question 8

What is the recommended cleaning and maintenance procedure for the Koala Kare KB300-00 beige changing station?

Accepted Answer

Cleaning the Koala Kare KB300-00 is straightforward and critical for hygiene. Use a non-abrasive cleaner or a mild soap and water solution, wiping all surfaces thoroughly with a clean cloth, then dry completely. The integrated Microban antimicrobial surface assists in inhibiting odor-causing bacteria between cleanings, but it does not replace routine sanitation. Regularly inspect the child safety strap and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening to ensure continued safety and compliance with facility standards.

Question 9

What safety standards and certifications does the Koala Kare KB300-00 meet for commercial applications?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 changing station is designed to meet stringent safety and performance criteria for commercial settings. It specifically complies with the ASTM F2285 static load performance requirements, confirming its structural integrity and ability to safely support its stated weight capacity. Furthermore, the unit incorporates a Microban antimicrobial surface, which is a continuous protection built into the plastic to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria, enhancing overall hygiene in public washrooms.

Question 10

How effective is the Microban antimicrobial surface in the Koala Kare KB300-00 for public washrooms?

Accepted Answer

The Microban antimicrobial surface integrated into the Koala Kare KB300-00 is a significant feature for public washrooms. It continuously inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew on the product's surface, offering an additional layer of cleanliness between routine cleanings. This technology helps maintain a more hygienic environment and reduces unpleasant odors, which is a practical benefit for facility managers striving to provide clean, comfortable spaces for families. It provides peace of mind for both operators and users.

Question 11

How many liners can the built-in dispenser of the Koala Kare KB300-00 hold, and what type are recommended?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB300-00 features a convenient built-in dual liner dispenser designed to hold up to 50 liners in total, with 25 liners per dispenser slot. This capacity helps reduce the frequency of staff refilling, optimizing operational efficiency in busy public washrooms. It is recommended to use standard disposable changing station liners specifically designed to fit Koala Kare dispensers to ensure smooth dispensing and maximum hygiene. Compatible liners are available through ChickenPieces.com to maintain consistent supply.

Question 12

What considerations are important for installing the Koala Kare KB300-00 in a commercial washroom?

Accepted Answer

Proper installation of the Koala Kare KB300-00 is paramount for its safety and functionality. Ensure the unit is securely anchored to structural wall studs or robust blocking within the wall, following manufacturer guidelines precisely. Consider local building codes and accessibility standards, such as AODA in Ontario, for appropriate mounting height to ensure ease of use for a diverse public. Adequate wall space for the horizontal unit to fully open and a clear path of access are also crucial for optimal placement and user experience.
