Question 1

How to store Koala Kare KB200 05 Horizontal Baby Changing for maximum shelf life?

Accepted Answer

This Koala Kare KB200-05 changing station is a durable piece of equipment, so "shelf life" refers more to its operational lifespan once installed rather than an expiry date. Prior to installation, store the unit in its original packaging in a clean, dry, climate-controlled environment to protect it from dust, moisture, and potential damage. This prevents cosmetic issues or component degradation before it enters service. Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve the finish and structural integrity of the white granite surface.

Question 2

Is Koala Kare KB200 05 Horizontal Baby Changing compatible with standard commercial machines?

Accepted Answer

This Koala Kare KB200-05 is a wall-mounted baby changing station, not a consumable product, so the concept of "compatibility with standard commercial machines" doesn't directly apply in the same way a food item would be compatible with a mixer or dispenser. Its compatibility relates to installation within standard commercial washroom layouts and compliance with building codes. It is designed for straightforward mounting to appropriate wall structures using the provided hardware, fitting most commercial restroom designs. Ensuring adequate space and proper wall reinforcement are the key compatibility factors for this unit.

Question 3

What materials is Koala Kare KB200 05 Horizontal Baby Changing made of?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB200-05 horizontal baby changing station features a durable "White Granite" surface, which typically refers to a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or similar plastic composite that is rigid, impact-resistant, and easy to clean, designed to mimic the look of granite. This material is chosen for its hygiene properties and ability to withstand heavy commercial use without easily scratching or staining. The internal frame and mounting components are generally made from steel or other sturdy metals to support the specified 50 lb weight capacity. All materials are selected to meet the ASTM static load performance requirements for safety.

Question 4

How to maintain Koala Kare KB200 05 Horizontal Baby Changing for long-term use?

Accepted Answer

Maintaining the Koala Kare KB200-05 is straightforward and crucial for its longevity and hygiene in commercial settings. Regularly clean the white granite surface with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser and a soft cloth or sponge to remove dirt and disinfect. Pay close attention to the safety straps; inspect them weekly for any fraying, cuts, or excessive wear, replacing them immediately if damage is found. Periodically check all mounting hardware to ensure the unit remains securely fastened to the wall, tightening any loose screws as necessary to maintain the 50 lb weight capacity.

Question 5

What are the specific dimensions and installed weight of the Koala Kare KB200-05 horizontal baby changing station?

Accepted Answer

The product description focuses on the 50 lb weight capacity, which refers to the maximum load the station can safely support, not the unit's own weight. While exact dimensions of the Koala Kare KB200-05 are not detailed in the provided information, typical horizontal changing stations like this are designed to be compact when closed and extend outwards when open. When installed, these units usually weigh between 25-35 lbs, requiring a sturdy wall for secure mounting. For precise installation planning, it is always recommended to consult the manufacturer's specification sheet, which typically includes detailed measurements for both the unit and required mounting space.

Question 6

What is the expected lifespan of the Koala Kare KB200-05 horizontal baby changing station in a commercial environment?

Accepted Answer

The Koala Kare KB200-05 is engineered for durability, designed to withstand the rigours of typical commercial use for many years. Its construction materials, like the white granite finish, are selected for resilience against repeated cleaning and impact. The "ASTM static load performance requirements" compliance further indicates its long-term operational robustness. With proper installation, regular cleaning, and routine checks of the safety straps and mounting hardware, operators can expect an extended service life from this unit, minimizing the need for frequent replacement.

Question 7

What is the recommended cleaning and maintenance procedure for the Koala Kare KB200-05 horizontal baby changing station?

Accepted Answer

To clean the Koala Kare KB200-05, use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser with a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down all surfaces, including the safety straps. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads, as these can damage the white granite finish and compromise hygiene. For maintenance, regularly inspect the safety straps for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage, replacing them with genuine Koala Kare parts if necessary. It is also crucial to periodically check the mounting hardware to ensure the unit remains securely fastened to the wall, tightening any loose screws to maintain stability and safety.
