Packaging Information• The perogies are packed in 2 non resealable clear plastic bags. Each bag has a code date printed on it. Under controlled freezer storage, the product has a shelf life of 1 year from the production date.
Size and Shape of Product
• The perogy is approximately 3 inches in length and is half moon in shape. Weight is approximately 30g or 1 ounce.
Yield or Serving Size
• As a stand alone meal 7 perogies would be a substantial meal for a grown adult. For a Seniors or Childs portion, 3 would be suggested. Please note these are suggested servings.
Quality and Format
• All our perogies are made using unbleached flour. We peel fresh potatoes daily and use freshly grated cheeses.
Preparation Cooking Instructions
• Our Perogies are par cooked for convenience and reduced cooking time
• Pan Fry: Preheat frying pan to 375°F (190°C).
• Cover the bottom of pan with cooking oil, margarine or butter.
• Place defrosted perogies in pan; turn frequently for 8-10 minutes, browning to your likeness.
• Boil: Place perogies in boiling water.
• Stir gently, perogies will float in about 3 minutes.
• Cook for additional minute or 2.
• Drain, toss gently in melted butter or margarine.
Handling Instructions
• Our perogies are par-cooked. Cook from frozen. Boil: for about 3-5 minutes, until perogies are puffy, drain, toss gently in melted butter or margarine. Pan Fried: Cover the bottom of a fry pan with cooking oil, butter or margarine place perogies in pan at about 350°F. Turn regularly for about 8-10 minutes, to ensure a even browning. Deep frying is only recommended in commercial kitchens. Over cooking in a deep fryer can result in the perogies exploding.
