Extensive Frequently Asked Questions — Libbey Speakeasy Coupe
Where can I buy Libbey Speakeasy glasses in Canada?
You can purchase professional-grade 12-count cases at ChickenPieces.com. We ship directly from our local Calgary warehouse to bars and restaurants across Western Canada.
What is a coupe glass best used for?
Coupes are ideal for cocktails served "Up" (chilled but without ice). Classic examples include the Martini, Manhattan, Daiquiri, and the Sidecar. They are also a sophisticated alternative to champagne flutes.
Is the stem faceted or smooth?
The Speakeasy 601602 features a beautiful faceted (cut-glass style) stem. This provides a vintage "crystal" look while also offering a more secure grip for the guest.
Are these glasses dishwasher safe?
Yes. These are commercial-grade glasses designed for the high-temp environments of professional kitchens. They will not cloud or crack under daily intensive washing.
What is Libbey's Safedge® Rim Guarantee?
If the rim of the glass chips, Libbey will replace the glass. This guarantee covers the rim only (not breakage or shattering) and is a hallmark of their commercial durability.
Can I use these for desserts?
Absolutely. Many 2026 dessert programs use the coupe glass for mousses, fruit parfaits, or sorbets to add a touch of "Old World" elegance to the final course.
Does the glass contain lead?
No. Libbey 601602 glasses are 100% lead-free, ensuring they meet all 2026 health and safety standards for beverage service.
How many glasses come in a single case?
Each case contains 12 glasses, providing a standardized count for easy inventory management and bar setup.
Why is the coupe preferred over a V-shaped Martini glass?
The curved bowl of the coupe is more "spill-resistant" during transport and offers a more balanced aesthetic that fits the 2026 "Retro-Luxe" design trend.
Why buy from a Calgary-based supplier like ChickenPieces.com?
Ordering locally ensures you pay in CAD, avoid surprise border duties, and receive your stock in 2–5 days—essential for maintaining consistent service standards in Western Canada.
