Libbey Gibraltar 9 oz. Elevated Highball Glass Set - 36/Case

Extensive Frequently Asked Questions — Libbey Gibraltar

Where can I buy Libbey Gibraltar 9 oz. highballs in Canada?

You can purchase professional-grade 36-count cases at ChickenPieces.com. We ship directly from our local Calgary hub to bars and restaurants across Western Canada.

What is the benefit of DuraTuff® treatment?

DuraTuff is a special thermal after-process that strengthens the upper portion of the glass. This makes the glass much more resistant to thermal shock and mechanical impact, leading to a much longer service life than untreated glass.

Are these glasses stackable for storage?

While the Gibraltar series features a tapered design, it is not specifically engineered as a "stacking glass." To prevent jamming or surface scratching, we recommend storing them side-by-side or in partitioned glass racks.

Is the 9 oz. size appropriate for a Gin & Tonic?

The 9 oz. highball is the classic choice for spirit-heavy highballs like a Gin & Tonic or a Rye & Ginger. If you prefer a larger "Copa" style serve or abundant ice, you may prefer the 12 oz. or 14 oz. Gibraltar models.

Are these glasses dishwasher safe?

Absolutely. The Gibraltar series is designed specifically for the intensive heat and chemicals of commercial dishwashers and will maintain its clarity over thousands of cycles.

How many glasses come in a single case?

This is a bulk industrial pack containing 36 glasses, making it highly cost-effective for high-volume bars, hotels, and banquet halls.

Does the glass contain lead?

No. Libbey Gibraltar glassware is 100% lead-free, ensuring it meets all 2026 health and safety standards for professional food and beverage service.

Why are they called "Elevated" highball glasses?

The term refers to the classic highball silhouette—taller and more slender than a rocks glass—providing an "elevated" visual presentation for mixed drinks.

Why are they so popular in Western Canadian hospitality?

The combination of extreme durability (essential for busy service) and a timeless aesthetic that fits almost any decor makes them the most practical choice for Canadian business owners.

Why buy from a Calgary-based supplier like ChickenPieces.com?

Ordering locally ensures you pay in CAD, avoid surprise border duties, and receive your stock in 2–5 days—essential for maintaining consistent service standards in Western Canada.
