Extensive Frequently Asked Questions — Libbey Cactus
Where can I buy Libbey cactus margarita glasses in Canada?
You can purchase professional-grade 12-count cases at ChickenPieces.com. We ship directly from our local Calgary hub to bars and restaurants across Western Canada.
Is the green stem a coating or actual colored glass?
The cactus stem is made from integrated colored glass during the manufacturing process. It is not a paint or coating, so the green color will never peel or fade in the dishwasher.
What is the best way to clean these glasses?
They are 100% commercial dishwasher safe. We recommend using a partitioned glass rack (typically a 16-compartment rack) to prevent the "arms" of the cactus stems from touching other glasses during the cycle.
Is 16 oz. too large for a standard margarita?
16 oz. is the preferred size for "House Special" margaritas. It allows for a standard spirit pour plus abundant ice or frozen mix, ensuring the guest feels they are receiving a premium value.
Are these glasses stackable?
No. Due to the delicate nature of the stem and the wide bowl, stacking these glasses will lead to immediate breakage. Always store them in a single layer or in glass racks.
Does the glass contain lead?
No. Libbey 3620JS glassware is 100% lead-free, ensuring it meets all 2026 health and safety standards for professional beverage service.
Why are they called "Southwest Serenity" in some menus?
This is a common hospitality "flavor name" used to describe the tranquil, desert-inspired aesthetic that these glasses provide to a bar setting.
How tall is the cactus margarita glass?
The Libbey 3620JS stands at approximately 6 1/8 inches, offering an impressive but stable vertical presence on the table.
Why buy from a Calgary-based supplier like ChickenPieces.com?
