Question 5

Accepted Answer

After using Goya Mojo Criollo Marinade, all equipment that has come into contact with the marinade, such as marinating tubs, mixing bowls, and utensils, should be cleaned and sanitized immediately. Citrus-based marinades can sometimes leave a slight residue, so thorough scrubbing is important.

Question 6

What is the typical yield of Goya 1 Gallon Mojo Criollo Marinade 6 per case?

Accepted Answer

A case contains six 1-gallon containers, giving you a total of six gallons of Goya Mojo Criollo Marinade. The typical yield in terms of how much meat it can marinate depends heavily on your specific application and portioning. For example, some chefs use 4-6 ounces of marinade per pound of meat for full saturation, while others might use less for lighter seasoning or tumbling applications. This bulk quantity supports large-scale production, allowing you to consistently marinate hundreds of pounds of protein.

Question 7

What menu items can Goya 1 Gallon Mojo Criollo Marinade 6 be used for?

Accepted Answer

Goya Mojo Criollo Marinade is incredibly versatile for various menu items, particularly in Latin American cuisine. Think authentic Cuban dishes like Lechon Asado, Pollo a la Plancha, or roasted pork shoulder. It's also excellent for infusing flavour into grilled beef skewers, chicken fajitas, or even as a base for braised short ribs. Its tangy citrus and garlic profile lends itself well to many grilled, roasted, or pan-seared preparations across your menu.

Question 8

Can Goya 1 Gallon Mojo Criollo Marinade 6 be used in hot applications?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Goya Mojo Criollo Marinade is primarily designed for use in preparing proteins that will then undergo hot cooking processes like grilling, roasting, frying, or braising. The marinade itself is not typically used as a hot serving sauce directly, but rather it infuses flavour into the meat before it's cooked. The citrus and garlic notes hold up well to heat, providing a vibrant taste after the cooking process.

Question 9

What is the typical case yield of Goya 1 Gallon Mojo Criollo Marinade for professional portions?

Accepted Answer

A case provides six 1-gallon containers, totaling 6 gallons of ready-to-use marinade. In a professional kitchen, a general guideline is about 4-6 fluid ounces of marinade per pound of protein for thorough coverage, though this can vary depending on desired intensity and marinating method. This means a single case can effectively marinate anywhere from approximately 128 to 192 pounds of meat, making it highly efficient for bulk food preparation for events or daily service.

What is the recommended shelf life for Goya 1 Gallon Mojo Criollo Marinade, both sealed and opened?

Accepted Answer

Once a 1-gallon container is opened, it should be tightly resealed and refrigerated promptly. In refrigerated conditions, an opened container generally maintains its quality for several weeks, though it's always best to refer to the specific "best by" date and any explicit "consume within X days of opening" instructions on the product label.
