Tip Pool Splitter
Split a shift's tips fairly by hours and role points. Every person's share and their tips per hour.
Cash plus card tips for the shift, after any card fees you pass through.
Who worked
Points = the role's weight. Common: servers and bartenders 10, bussers and runners 5, hosts 4. Set everyone to 10 for a pure hours split.
How this is calculated
Each person's weight = hours × points. Their share = tips × their weight ÷ everyone's weight.
Check your local rules: in many places managers and owners cannot take from the pool, and back-of-house may only be included where no tip credit is taken.
Prices are before GST/HST. Add tax on top of the price shown, never inside your margin. Estimates, not advice.
