Room Block Pricing Calculator

Wedding and group blocks: block rate, comp rooms, attrition, and what the block is actually worth after cleaning.

$

What you would sell the room for that weekend anyway.

%

10 to 15% is normal. Over 25% and you are paying for the privilege.

%

Share of the block that never gets booked. 20% is typical for weddings.

Rooms booked. 0 for no comps.

$

Housekeeping, linen, amenities.

How this is calculated

Block rate = rack rate × (1 − discount). Comps = rooms ÷ comp ratio, rounded down.

Expected revenue = paid rooms × (1 − attrition) × nights × block rate. At risk = full block − expected.

Contribution = expected revenue − cost to turn each picked-up room.

Prices are before GST/HST. Add tax on top of the price shown, never inside your margin. Estimates, not advice.
