Keg Cost Per Pint
Keg cost and size, pour size and waste in. Cost per pour, pours per keg, pour cost % and profit per keg out.
16 oz pint, 20 oz imperial, 12 oz glass.
5 to 10% is normal on a well-kept system.
Draft usually runs 18 to 25%.
How this is calculated
Usable ounces = keg size × (1 − waste). Pours per keg = usable ÷ pour size.
Cost per pour = keg cost ÷ pours. Pour cost % = cost per pour ÷ menu price.
Prices are before GST/HST. Add tax on top of the price shown, never inside your margin. Estimates, not advice.
